What is the best acne treatment out there that is suited for me?

Question by Lilly B: What is the best acne treatment out there that is suited for me?
I have moderate acne and a few acne scars on my face, chest, back, and shoulders. I am in serious need of the best acne treatment out there. Please help!
I was thinking of using Clearpores for my problem. Can I also have your opinions on it, too? Thanks.

Its hormones, maybe you should go to your doc. or dermatologist and see what they can do. I used to have such bad acne, what I did was detox often and take my vitamins.

You should see a dermatologist. I also had moderate acne, so i didn’t think that it was bad enough to see a doctor about, but no store product worked for me. And if you’re starting to get scars, then that’s just another reason why you should go to a derm, before the scars just get worse. They will prescribe a strong medicaton that will work for your skin.

  2. starryeyed0hnine says:

Go to the dermatologist. They’ll tell you which product is best for your skin or they’ll prescribe you with some acne medication.

  3. pinksarajane says:

It depends on the type of acne. Talk to a dermatologist. But what worked for me was tanning. 5 minutes in a tanning bed three times a week took care of most of my acne, especially on the back, chest, and shoulders. my dermatologist prescribed differin gel for my face and it worked to.

  4. Thomas H says:

If your acne is already cystic than Clearpores may help.

But for the scars, Clearpores is not going to be much help.

Best to talk to a dermatologist

I wish you well in whatever choice that you make. My son had acne and I do know the distress that it can bring. Not to be taken lightly.

Whatever choice of product you take, make sure that it has a money back guarantee in order that you product your purchase.

I also agree that you should see a dermatologist. I suggest that as welll as clearpores, you do have a look at the exposed acne product.

Also ensure that you check your diet to ensure that you are eating plenty of vegetables and fruit and also a simple tip to implement is to drink plenty of water each day.

    Good luck with your decision

It really depends on the type of skin you have and what is causing your acne breakouts. There are a dozen treatments that promise the world but are really disappointing. Your best bet is to ask your dermatologist as they will know more about your specific condition.

  8. Roger W says:

Although there is no cure, acne treatments are available to help control breakout activity. Acne treatments are divided into three categories: topical, systemic, and procedural. The course of treatment is determined by the type and severity of acne.

Knowing your grade of acne will help you choose the most effective treatment plan. Grade I and Grade II (mild to moderate acne) can often be treated with over-the-counter products. A dermatologist must treat Grade III and Grade IV (moderately severe to severe, or cystic acne).

It’s common to try several treatments before finding the one that works for you. Try not to get discouraged. And remember, with any acne treatment or therapy, consistency is key to a successful outcome.

I think using Clearpores and other surface treatment work temporarily. I used to have a lot of acne just like you (all over my body, not just my face) but I find that rubbing all those lotions and cleansers is too much trouble.

Anyway, I came across a study that shows that people from other cultures that eat a good diet almost NEVER have acne…even when they are going through puberty. But as soon as they changed their diets, acne started to flare up like crazy.

What I did is to change my diet (no milk, no refined carbs, more fruits and vegetables, more whole grains) and also take a vitamin supplement. My acne breakouts much less now. I have the occassional pimple here and there, but it was a drastic improvement of what I used to have.

changing eating habits and eliminating toxins..
The cream and exfoliator are most likely filled with toxins. Try rubbing Coconut oil, honey, tree tea oil, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, or peroxide on it, one of them might help. (don’t use them all at the same time)

unpasturized apple cider vinegar. they sell it cheap by a brand SPECTRUM at smiths. make sure it’s unpasturized!! anyway.. dip a qtip in the vinegar and rub onto the blemishes. i know it smells, but it works. also, an even better way is to drink two teaspoons every night mixed with a cup of water.

blackstrap molasses is another great way to get rid of acne. add 1 teaspoon to a cup of tea or hot water.

all those creams and face washes always make my skin worse as well. i tried proactiv and yikes!! haha hope i’ve helped. good luck!

Change your diet. Don’t eat junk, oily, or fatty foods. Trust me it works. Don’t eat milky products like butter, milk, cheese or anything similar. Only eat them once a week.
Eat fish twice to three times a week.
Eat a lot of fruit and vegies. Alot of leafy vegies.
Nuts, almonds, peanuts, water, pumpkin seeds, rice, red herring, fish, tuna, chicken, turkey are a must to eat.
Lay off the red meats as much as possible because they have acid fats in them. Drink lots of water. Exercise everyday. Clean your face, chest and back every morning and night. You don’t need any chemicals for your skin you need to eat properly and the right things. Trust me i had bad acne on my face and when i started this need eating program it cleared up in weeks. It’s hard to maintain but keep trying and it shall work.

ive tried lots of products and the most affective are nutrogena (idk how to spell that) rapid clear pads
the key to solving your problem will be to figure out if your acne responds better to benzoyl peroxide or to salicylic acid
    mine responds better to salicylic.
oh and for a temporary quick fix heavy whipping cream (like the stuff in the dairy isle) applied to the area for about 10 to 15 seconds at a time will take down redness.
make sure you check your reactions to homade remedies before you put them all over your face- it can end very bad i know from experience lol

Your best bet is to go to your doctor or a dedicated dermatologist who will likely put you on a low-level antibiotic such as minocycline (about $ 20 a month depending on where you are and your insurance coverage if you have it) and likely give you a prescription cream or gel too for application at bedtime. But do go; it makes a huge difference and can help with acne all over your body. There are a lot of approaches and meds they can try. You are worth it.

  6. Samflighter says:

    1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.
    2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.
    3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.

  8. Scott B says:

There really is no quick cure for acne. There are some products that may treat a pimple or two quickly, but getting rid of acne takes some time and some trial and error. Everyone reacts to acne treatments in different ways. What may work for me, may not work for you.

  9. Ems says:

i’ve used a lot of spot creams, but the best i found was toothpaste. the white kind not gel. apply it on before bed and the next morning, it sucks all the oil out and your acne dries off.
